Yorkshire and North East
The UKHA Yorkshire Region was founded in 1988 and expanded rapidly to cover Yorkshire and North-East. The meetings are held bi-monthly and range from educational to fun and most importantly networking of likeminded professional people associated with the Hospitality Industry. Leeds and the Region is the second financial city after London and has a very large and varied hotel stock from lodges to Five Star hotels, Boutique hotels to student accommodation and the UKHA region represents this.
Yorkshire has sometimes been nicknamed God’s Own County in general recognition for having the largest number of great people and great things in Britain.

Janet took over from Lisa Williams on of 1st April 2025. She is a highly motivated and experienced Executive Head Housekeeper from Yorkshire, with nearly 40 years’ experience in both 4 and 5* hotels widely spread from North to the South of England.
Whilst working for WGC she was involved in the training and development of supervisors and head housekeepers along with managing 10 hotels and 2,000, bedrooms combined.
Janet enjoyed 2 glorious years in Jersey responsible for a 285-bedroom hotel along with 29 self-contained apartments. Her passion for housekeeping has been kept alive over the years by her constant interaction with other Executive Head Housekeepers and she looks forward to every monthly association meeting to share ideas and obtain information from a group of ladies and gentleman that she has built strong relationships with over the years.

The UKHA Yorkshire & NE committee and members gathered in July at the beautiful Rudding Park , a property set within Yorkshire's nature and surrounded by woodland and elegant landscaped gardens.
