Housekeeping Today Focus: March-April 2026

In the March-April 2026 issue of Housekeeping Today interviewed Neli Tsaneva, Executive Head Housekeeper at The Strand Palace Hotel and found out more about her love of 'Magical London'.

Neli values the unique balance of hands-on involvement and strategic management that the executive head housekeeper role offers. She joined Strand Palace Hotel at the beginning of October 2026 and is excited to be part of such an iconic hotel. She currently leads a team of about 90 people; the majority of whom are outsourced staff, she works closely with outsourcing partners to ensure full alignment with the hotel’s standards and expectations.

I realised that what motivates and fulfils me is leading a team directly, being present within the operation, and building strong culture together. Returning to a hotel based executive role allows me to combine my strategic experience with hands-on leadership. Housekeeping is the backbone of any successful hotel, yet its impact is often most visible only when something goes wrong.
