Melanie Penn, the Midlands & SW committee and their members met for a fabulous overnight stay at the Harrison Spinks farm & factory near Leeds on 10th & 11th November.
Meeting Review
Thank you to Laurence Borrows, National Sales Manager at Harrison Spinks, for organising this visit.
Sixteen members attended our visit to the Harrison Spinks farm and factory. Our first stop was the 300-acre farm in Yorkshire, where we learned how they grow natural fibres such as hemp and flax. It was a great insight into their sustainable practices, including the use of zero pesticides.
We then continued to the factory for a tour of the manufacturing process, including hand-sewing, side-stitching, and tufting. It was impressive to see their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility, using natural products and processes to create high-quality beds.
