Manchester & NW Christmas Meeting review
From Jan Flynn UKHA Manchester & NW Chair
"Thank you to all who attended our meeting at Forty Seven, old and new attendees.
Our meeting was sponsored by Cabbage White Laundry. Thank you so much to Soni and team, for attending and sponsoring our festive gathering. Soni also gave us an informative talk on Cabbage White Laundry and how they only have designated stock for all properties they service. No pool stock at this laundry!
We started our meeting with a relaxed atmosphere. Kylie prosecco was flowing, or if you were unlucky enough to be the driver – tea and coffee etc was available. We had a tasty buffet whilst we networked and caught up with friends. East Stuff very kindly supplied us with goodie bags and pens, whilst L’Occitaine looked after our skin with a festive gift.
We introduced the Housekeeping Scholarship to all attendees and asked them to share with colleagues who may be interested and would benefit from the experience. Applications must be in by 2nd January 2026 so that judging can take place early January 2026. It is free for people to attend, but they must be introduced by a UKHA member. Flyers were available for people to take away. Find out more and apply >>
Booking forms for the Summer Ball 2026 were available for anyone to take away, so they can discuss with friends and then take advantage of the Early Bird prices.
Our meeting finished by 6pm and everyone wended their way home. Again, thank you to Cabbage White, East and L’Occitaine for the sponsorship and gifts. A big thank you to Judit and team, who made sure everything was in place for the meeting, they worked so hard in difficult circumstances, but we knew it would work out. Thank you to Louise, the GM at 47 and Velvet for her warm welcome.
All I have left to say now is – take care in the silly season of December, bring out the glitter, enjoy. Have a Very Merry Christmas, a chilled New Year and see you in 2026."
Our next meeting will be Monday 19th January 2026 at The Bridgewater Hall, usual time of 3.30pm for 4.00pm start. Please let us know if you are attending and also please bring a raffle prize.
