A wonderful business luncheon at The Landmark Hotel, attended by nearly 300 UKHA members and their guests

Event Review

What a fantastic venue and an exceptional event! The Landmark Hotel provided the perfect setting for our business lunch, with a seamless turnaround and impeccable service. The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully paired with the drinks, making for a truly enjoyable dining experience. 

The menu: A warm croquette of duck with hummus & pickled turnip, followed by slow cooked beef short rib, mash, carrots, parsnips and lemon thyme sauce. Dessert was a Lemon clotted cream baked Alaska with rhubarb. The wines were a superb French Grenache Blanc and a sublime Spanish Cabernet Sauvignon. All topped off with coffee and the most amazing petit fours.

We were delighted to have Lynsey Crombie – The Queen of Clean – as our guest speaker. Her engaging session was both inspiring and entertaining, leaving everyone with great insights and smiles all around.

Changes at UKHA London

It was bittersweet to hear that our lovely Fernanda Lewis, Chairperson of UKHA London & SE, is stepping down. Fernanda has been a wonderful leader and advocate for our association, and we are grateful that she will continue to support the committee. On a brighter note, we are delighted to welcome our talented new committee member, Gosia Oszkiel, who will be the next Chairperson of UKHA London & SE.

Housekeeper Scholarship Launched

Our National UKHA Chair Lisa Williams took to the stage to announce the launch of a new Housekeeper Scholarship, in partnership with international training company Lycette Associates. UKHA Members and members of their teams are invited to apply for a FREE residential place on the new 3-day "Leadership for Housekeeping Managers" course; designed specifically for Housekeeping professionals at The Grand York, on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th March 2026.
