Our Trainer - Liz Lycette founder of Lycette Associates

Liz Lycette's extensive international expertise and considerable Housekeeping knowledge, has given her a truly multi-cultural approach and a wide range of diverse contacts throughout the industry. Her excellent organisational skills, adaptability and integrity enable her to complete any assignment with energy, efficiency and positive results.

She started her career in the hospitality industry in 1981 and at the age of 23 became Executive Housekeeper for the grand opening of Mandarin Oriental in Macau. She subsequently held this position at The Conrad Hong Kong, Mandarin Oriental Jakarta, Le Meridien Hotel, London, and The Regent Hotel, Sydney. Liz was also Project Manager for the opening of 3 properties in China for Harbour Plaza Hotels and Resorts.

The Course Overview

Liz Lycette from L&A will be presenting a unique programme for those working in a senior role within Housekeeping, enabling Housekeeping Managers to lead their team with confidence. Not only suitable for Housekeeping Managers and their Deputies, this workshop also empowers up and coming Supervisors to gain skills which will improve business outcomes, advance the performance of teams and enhance customer experiences.

The 3 day workshop, which runs from 10.30am-5.30pm on the Monday and 9am-5.30pm on Tuesday & Wednesday. It will be lively and interactive, encouraging participation through interactive exercises, networking and shared experiences. Upon completion of the workshop participants will have a full action plan and timeline to implement back in their operation.

Delegates

This scheme is open to UK based housekeepers only. You must be a UKHA member yourself, or be nominated by a current UKHA member (who can be another housekeeper or an associate member). So if you are not a UKHA member yourself, you will need to supply the name of the UKHA member that is nominating you on your application form.

UKHA Members can apply for, or nominate their team members that match the criteria: Housekeeping Managers, Deputies or Supervisors that are developing their managerial roles.

What was Included

The 14 places, worth £1000+ per delegate are funded by the UKHA together with key associate member sponsors and include:

• Two night's accommodation on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd March at The Grand York
• Breakfast on Tuesday & Wednesday mornings
• Lunch on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday
• Dinner on the Tuesday evening
• The full 3 day programme with Liz Lycette
• All learning materials 
• A certificate upon completion

Not included: Transport to and from York. Accommodation on the Sunday night, if required. Dinner on Monday evening.

Accommodation on Sunday 1st March: If you require a room at The Grand York on the Sunday evening (as the course starts on Monday at 10.30am) please let Lisa know asap. We can offer you preferential rates and are assuming that if you are coming from the same company or are friends you would be willing to share a room, to keep costs to a minimum.
