Meeting Review

What an elegant welcoming space, where London’s iconic riverside meets a relaxed café bar. Nestled on Embankment Pier with unparalleled views of the Thames and the city skyline, Clipper Lounge EMB offered our members the chance to soak in the scenic beauty of London’s waterfront - and network with other UKHA members!

Guests were treated to wine and buffet refreshments before Liza El Shaer, manager of the Lounge and Boats, gave us a fascinating insight into the Uber Boats by Thames Clippers service operating from the pier. A total of 22 vessels operate seven days a week from 6am to 11pm ferrying passengers from Barking Riverside Pier in the East and Putney Pier in the West, stopping at 24 piers along way. Fares more or less the same as the tube - but much more exciting!

The boats and the lounge can also be privately hired and Liz has transported many celebrities and stars along to the O2 for their gigs and events. The UKHA rather fancies a boat trip for a future meeting - if any of our associate members would like to sponsor?
