Scotland Meeting Review: March 2025

On Monday 10th March 2025, over 40 UKHA members including new Housekeepers and Suppliers joined Ruth and the Scotland Committee on board the Floating Fingal Hotel in Edinburgh, which is one of the Pride of Britain group of hotels.
Meeting Review
Those of us who arrived early were welcomed by Marinel Scorer the Hotel Manager at The Floating Fingal. All guests were offered welcome drinks, then everyone networked before heading down to the meeting room.
We had an introduction by Marinel telling us about the history of the hotel and then all members introduced themselves before we handed over to our guest speaker, Lisa Williams our UKHA Yorkshire Chair.
Lisa gave us an insight into her impressive Housekeeping career and briefly mentioned about the various tipping apps available on the market.
We then had the afternoon buffet sponsored by UKHA Scotland before members of staff gave groups guided tours of the Fingal, which was enjoyed by all. Some guests had the opportunity to stay over too.
