IOH Annual Awards 2026: Liz Smith-Mills FIH FBICSc

Yorkshire UKHA Committee member and long-time member Liz Smith-Mills FIH FBICSc was shortlisted for the Institute of Hospitality Outstanding Contribution to the Industry Award 2026 – Sponsored by Miele Professional. Liz was supported by Lisa Williams UKHA National Chair and Janet Thompson Yorkshire & NE Chair for the ceremony at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London on 15th June 2026. Liz was honoured to stand with the other nominees, and only woman! A shortlisting in itself says a great deal about her standing, experience, resilience and ambition in the hospitality industry. Liz has been a UKHA member and intrinsic part of the UKHA Yorkshire committee for many years. This year she is taking a key role in organising and promoting the annual Summer Ball, hosted this year by the Yorkshire region. Liz is a respected and experienced Independent Hotel Consultant with a long history of working in the hospitality industry in 4 and 5* hotel environments world wide. Skilled in Housekeeping Management, New Openings, Mystery Guest Audits, Training and Mentoring, she is also a Guardian / Volunteer member and Ambassador for Hospitality Action and Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality.
