Yorkshire & NE November Meeting Review

UKHA Visit to The Queens - Wednesday 26th November 2025

The UKHA Christmas meeting, hosted by Janet at The Queens, was a wonderfully festive and engaging event. Guests were welcomed through the hotel’s beautifully decorated main entrance, which immediately set a warm and seasonal tone for the evening. Upon entering the function room, attendees were greeted with glasses of prosecco and nosecco, offering a celebratory start to the gathering.

The tables were thoughtfully dressed in festive style, creating a charming and inviting atmosphere. A delightful selection of drinks was generously supplied by Sophie Price of Phoenix Cleaning Company, adding to the hospitality and festive feel.

The meeting included an informative presentation by Russell Mayes from Cleenol, who delivered an insightful talk on a variety of cleaning methods. His contribution provided valuable professional knowledge and was well received by attendees.

This was followed by a beautifully prepared Christmas dinner - complete with the first of many pigs in blankets - giving everyone the chance to relax and enjoy a seasonal feast together.

To bring the event to a creative close, Renée from Silver Bells delivered a lovely demonstration on crafting Christmas table decorations. Her presentation inspired plenty of festive enthusiasm and provided attendees with ideas for their own seasonal décor.

Following the crafting session, guests were invited to view two of the hotel’s guest bedrooms. Both rooms were gorgeous - beautifully decorated, exceptionally spacious, and thoughtfully laid out - showcasing the high standard of accommodation The Queens provides.

Overall, it was an exceptionally enjoyable and Christmassy meeting, combining professional insight with warm hospitality and festive cheer.
