UKHA Yorkshire Welcomes Two New Committee Members

Janet Thompson our UKHA Chair for Yorkshire & NE is pleased to announce that Suzanne Marlow, Deputy Head Housekeeper at Grantley Hall Hotel & Spa and Sam Lewis, Resort Housekeeping Manager at Rudding Park Hotel have joined the committee.

After completing Btec in Hospitality Management Suzanne decided, after spending a month of work experience in Housekeeping and Restaurant, that she wanted to pursue career in Housekeeping.
Suzanne was offered a position as Trainee Housekeeper at The Queens Hotel Cheltenham, which was owned by Trusthouse Forte so completed extensive training programme and was promoted to Assistant Head Housekeeper.
She then moved back up North to Yorkshire and since have worked in a number of 4 star hotels in Harrogate & York including The Majestic & Rudding Park.
Suzanne is currently Dthe eputy Head Housekeeper at Grantley Hall, the only 5 star property in Yorkshire and join the UKHA Yorkshire & NE committee to generally support with events and meetings.
Sam Lewis
Resort Housekeeping Manager at Rudding Park Hotel
Sam began his housekeeping journey in 2018 as a Room Attendant and knew from day one that housekeeping was his passion.
After attending his committee meeting that same year, he quickly rose to Housekeeping Supervisor within three months. He spent two years in the Front Office to gain a broader view of operations before returning to housekeeping in 2021 as Deputy Resort Housekeeper.
In 2023, he was promoted to Resort Housekeeping Manager, where he continues to lead with dedication and heart.
Sam joins the UKHA Yorkshire & NE committee to support the team in event management and at meetings.
