We congratulate Ruth Clark on her new position at a luxury hotel near Oban and welcome Gordon Paterson & Tony Speirs to the Scotland Committee.
Ruth Clark's New Role
As Head Housekeeper at the Isle of Eriska Hotel and Spa, near Oban
After spending two and a half years at the Cairndale Hotel and Spa, Ruth has moved back in to 5 star properties and is pleased to announce that she is now the Head Housekeeper at the Isle of Eriska Hotel and Spa, near Oban. A truly stunning hotel, nestled on its own private island off the west coast of Scotland, the epitome of luxury hospitality with a rich history dating back to 1884. And only accessible via the bridge from the mainland! Ruth and her team look after rooms and suites in the main house, plus the lodges and cottages in the extensive grounds.
Ruth is planning to move to the Oban area to be nearer to family and friends and with her love of Housekeeping she will be a great asset and fit for this fantastic property.
Gordon Paterson is our new Treasurer
Gordon is the General Manager of The Salutation Hotel in Perth
Gordon is an active member of UKHA Scotland and attends all our events. Having come from a hotel family background onto managing large hotels in Northern England and Scotland, we are lucky to have his expertise and experience on the committee.
The Salutation Hotel, formerly known as Salutation Inn has become the oldest established hotel in Scotland, as well as one of Perth's unofficial landmarks.
Tony Speirs Joins the Scotland Committee
Tony is the National Sales Manager for Decotex and will be helping the committee with general duties and at events.
Decotex have long been a UKHA Associate Member and have been supplying linen, towels, bath robes, slippers, duvets, pillows, and mattress protection to the hospitality sector for over forty years.
