New UKHA Yorkshire Chair Appointed from 1st April 2025

Following Lisa Williams' appointment as our new UKHA National Chair, we are very pleased to welcome Janet Thompson as our new interim Yorkshire & NE Chair. 

Our New interim UKHA Yorkshire Chair

Janet Thompson takes over from Lisa Williams on 1st April 2025 as interim Chair, until our next regional elections are held.

She is a highly motivated and experienced Executive Head Housekeeper from Yorkshire, with nearly 40 years’ experience in both 4 and 5* hotels widely spread from North to the South of England. She is currently the Executive Housekeeper at the Queens Hotel in Leeds.

Whilst working for WGC she was involved in the training and development of supervisors and head housekeepers along with managing 10 hotels and 2,000, bedrooms combined.

Janet enjoyed 2 glorious years in Jersey responsible for a 285-bedroom hotel along with 29 self-contained apartments. Her passion for housekeeping has been kept alive over the years by her constant interaction with other Executive Head Housekeepers and she looks forward to every monthly association meeting to share ideas and obtain information from a group of ladies and gentleman that she has built strong relationships with over the years.
