The London & SE Business Luncheon 2023 - Back in Style!

On Friday 22nd September 2023 the London & SE committee welcomed 235 UKHA members from across the UK to their Business Luncheon at the stunning Pan Pacific London Hotel.

The last time this event was held was in 2019, so everyone was truly excited to be back at this event, which has always been such a cornerstone of the UKHA calendar.

The guests gathered for reception drinks before moving into the ballroom for lunch. Many members had submitted pictures of their wonderful housekeeping teams to mark the recent Housekeeping Appreciation Week, which were displayed on the 3 enormous presentation screens. We were surrounded by our housekeeping heroes!

The lunch was really incredible, tasty, fresh and beautifully presented: torched salmon, beef tenderloin and pavlova, with equally delicious vegan and vegetarian options.

Our speaker was the wonderful Peter Hancock. With over 40 years in the hospitality industry, including 21 years as CEO of Pride of Britain Hotels, Peter has a wealth of experience which has fuelled his keen sense of humour and his ever-growing reputation for relating stories that kept the room enthralled.

Kerry Adams, our National Chair then took to the stage and thanked her predecessor Lorraine Dale for 8 years of service, together with each of the current Regional Chairs in turn. Kerry knows that getting the UKHA back to pre-pandemic levels will take time and commitment, but that it will happen because the housekeeping community is a family.
