Vision Style Awards 2018
Vision Style Awards 2018: The awards sought to recognise exceptional interior design across hotels, bars, restaurants and spas and, for the first time ever, we included entries from across the European continent.
About the Vision Style Awards
Described as a ‘feel-good’ awards incentive, the Vision Style Awards provide truly free exposure for hotels, B&Bs, spas, bars, restaurants and retirement residences which excel in their inspiring design choices.
Beginning as the Hilden Style Awards five years ago, the newly rebranded Vision Style Awards are an online awards programme which aims to highlight spectacular, striking and surprising design across a range of venues.
Originally only open to UK venues, the Awards returned in 2017 with a brand new design, name and looked to accept projects from across Europe as well as increasing the categories from three to 13.
The Vision Style Awards grow in esteem and recognition each year, this year saw our highest number of entries ever and the standard was exceptional – as you can see from our winners.
Soho House Barcelona swept the board winning four categories and other venues such as Vivood Landscape Hotel in Spain won ‘Most Beautiful Bathroom’, Nolinski Paris won ‘Hottest Hotel’ and the UK’s very own Annie’s Cabin won ‘Picture-Perfect B&B or Guesthouse’.

Soho House Barcelona Wins Big in Vision Style Awards
Renowned private members club and 57-room hotel, Soho House Barcelona, has won four prestigious awards in this years’ Vision Style Awards.
The Awards are aimed at celebrating interior design and style across a range of venues and Soho House Barcelona didn’t disappoint as it took the coveted titles for ‘Dreamiest Bedroom’, ‘Europe’s Best Dressed Bed’, ‘Most Sumptuous Spa’ and ‘Style Winner of the Year’ beating hundreds of other entries into the Awards.
The Vision Style Awards, organised by global textiles giant, Vision Support Services, opened for entries back in August with 13 categories to choose from and open to hospitality establishments from across the European continent.
The judges said: “It just drips with effortless cool, teasing, charming, flirting – all in one easy swoop”.
Judging the awards were a range of industry experts and commentators from across the travel industry including Robin Sheppard, CEO of Bespoke Hotels, Sharron Livingstone of The Travel Magazine, Angie Silver, Blogger at Silverspoon London, Richard McCready-Hughes, Creative Director at Goddard Littlefair, Andrew Linwood, Head of Hospitality Design at Areen, Laurie Thomas, Managing Director of Vision Support Services and Jacqui Hurst, Sales Director for UK Hospitality at Vision Support Services.
Laurie Thomas, Managing Director of Vision Support Services, said: “Our one-of-a-kind awards are now in their fifth year and it’s been fantastic to uncover so many exquisite entries from across the hospitality sector. We’ve had some outstanding entries which made the judging all the more difficult.”
Looking forwards, it’s clear that travellers’ needs are changing every day which is why it’s incredibly important to look at how the design, comfort and style of a venue can influence someone to visit – particularly in a world where a photo can be shared to thousands in a matter of seconds.”
