Manchester Meeting Review January 2018
- Date: 25 January 2018
- Region: Manchester and NW
- Meeting: The Britiana Manchester
Thank you to Trish and the team at The Britiana Manchester on Portland Street.
The Britiana Manchester Hotel opened in 1856 and has some beautiful period features the grand staircase being one of many.
Speed networking was our focus during the evening and we found out some very interesting things about our attendees...
Unbelievably—One UKHA member was arrested for the great train robbery!
One member kept bees.
Scotsmen definitely aren’t tight.
And... surprisingly baked beans are more popular than grilled tomatoes on full English breakfast.
Our Lovely committee member Jarrod spent some time talking through the website, he gave us all some hints and tips. Make sure your find time to grab a brew and go for a nosey.
Elections are coming soon and as mentioned at the meeting our Chair Jan has chosen to stand down this year. We would like to thank her for her contributions and wish her well in all her future endeavours.
This does mean that we will of course be looking for her replacement. If you are interested in joining the committee and would like to stand for Chair, Treasurer or Secretary in the upcoming elections, please get in touch we'd love to hear from you.
Don't forget, if you missed out this time then join us for our next meeting on March 22nd we look forward to welcoming you.
