Yorkshire & NE Meeting Review 2017
- Date: Wednesday 25th October
- Region: Yorkshire & NE Meeting Review
- Meeting: Malmasion Leeds
What a fabulous meeting at the newly refurbished Malmaison Leeds with many members attending.
Thank you to our Sponsors
We would like to thank the General Manager of Malmaison Craig Robson for sponsoring the meeting & the amazing sumptuous buffet. The food was lush, what a spread. Many miniatures to tantalise, but more than enough to go around. The duty manager on the evening took the helm & conducted show rounds of the newly refurbished bedrooms.
The meeting was held in a fabulous refurnished state of the art meeting room. WOW the Yellow Hippo and the Monkeys, you will have to book to find out more.
We would like to Thank Liz-Smith Mills for providing the beverage for the evening, representing Decotel. We would also to personally like to thank Liz for her support during this meeting.
We showcased this years Shared Knowledge Day to show the benefits to our membership of travelling to London to attend the shared knowledge day in 2018.
Welcome to new members
We welcomed Lloyd Bamber from Mattison Contract Beds who is taking over membership from Nigel Smith. We would like to congratulate Nigel on his new position and we wish him the best of luck (not that he needs it). Remember Nigel Yorkshire is always here to welcome you with open arms.
We also welcomed Kasper & Karen from Gilchrist & Soames to their first meeting in our region and we look forward to them joining the association as national members.
Sadly Harrison from Central Services attended our meeting to hand over to the new owners. Harrison has been an integral part of the Yorkshire region over many years and a great supporter & sponsor. We wish Harrison all the best in his new ventures and we are very happy that he says he will continue to support the association. We look forward to seeing you at the Christmas dinner.
Our speaker Ruthy Fletcher
During the meeting there was an amazing presentation from Ruthy Fletcher on Deaf Awareness and we had great fun trying our talents and skills learning Basic sign Language.
Ruthy got us all involved is signing the alphabet and really opened our eyes to the challenges and frustrations that can occur.
