The Torridon, Wester Ross, IV22 2EY is situated in one of the great wild corners of Europe with stunning mountains, beautiful sea lochs and scenic Highland villages and jam-free Highland roads.
Offering guests exclusive Luxury with a Personal Touch, The Torridon is real family business. Daniel and Rohaise moved to Torridon to join the family business in 1999. After four successful years of managing the hotel, they bought The Torridon from David and Geraldine Gregory, Rohaise’s parents, who had decided to retire.
Rohaise and Daniel have a hands on approach to managing The Torridon and work with their staff to ensure that every guest is looked after personally, combining a formula of friendly and welcoming hospitality with professional service.
A continuing programme of upgrade to the hotel, its rooms and facilities has enabled them constantly to improve the quality and service, making The Torridon one of the top hotels in Scotland.
The Torridon was originally built as a shooting lodge for the first Earl of Lovelace in 1887. In those days, the entrance to the house was through the dining room, now the 1887 Restaurant, then they added the clock tower.
The carved inscription you see round the walls of the hall and dining room were created to celebrate the 50th year of Queen Victoria’s reign. More about the hotel...
