    You will already be a Housekeeping Manager known for their eye for quality and attention to detail. Reporting to the Hotel Manager you will manage a team of 80+ plus colleagues, including; Valet, Linen, Housekeeping Attendants, Porters and Coordinators, supported by 2 Assistant Managers, 9 Team Leaders and a Talent Development Trainer. Your goal will be to create a personalised guest experience to ensure guest preferences are reflected in each and every stay. You will manage all functions relating to hotel cleanliness including guest rooms, public areas, back of house non kitchen areas, as well as laundry and dry cleaning efficiently and in line with brand, hotel and health, safety and hygiene standards. 

    This hands-on role provides the perfect opportunity for a quality driven leader, to set clear strategies and goals to enhance our colleague and guest experiences efficiently in line with budget. 

     

    Applicants Qualities and Qualifications

    An experienced Housekeeping Manager, you will have extensive quality Housekeeping experience in hotels or a similar environment, preferably in the 5* luxury market, ideally with a Hotel degree or similar. Previous capital city experience is preferred.

    You will be a team player, but strong leader; able to communicate effectively at all levels, and feel confident building strong relationships with your peers and suppliers/contractors. Taking ownership of day to day Housekeeping operations, you will be able to make quick decisions, enjoy problem solving and thrive in a fast paced, pressurised environment. Although you will have expectations of a very high standard   from your team, you will also be empathetic to the needs of a varied employee population, both in culture, nationality and demographics. You will be a diplomat and able to inspire and mentor your team, with a can do, positive attitude.

    A natural coach developing your team will be one of your priorities, as will creating a supporting and caring environment that allows your people to be their best. You will be happy to be hands on, but be prepared to unleash your team to meet their full potential.

    Experienced in effective rostering to meet business requirements, you will also ensure efficient productivity levels and have a good grasp of budget control and reforecasting. With a genuine interest in eco system/recycling you will constantly challenge yourself and others to try news ways of doing ‘things’!
