Photo Sponsors, Vision Support Services, Attend Annual UKHA Summer Ball
Staff from global textile giant, Vision Support Services, donned their best attire for an evening of fun and frolics at the ball which took place at the Marriot Hotel in Leeds on July 22nd.
The annual event transported guests back to the roaring twenties for an unforgettable night filled with music, dancing and entertainment as well as mouth-watering food and drink.
The annual ball, set to the theme of the roaring twenties, was attended by over 200 people from across the hospitality industry and included music, dancing and entertainment as well as food and drink throughout the evening.
Surrounded by gangsters, molls and burlesque dancers, two representatives from Vision attended; Victoria Hargreaves and Michelle Ainsworth. Victoria said: “The evening went really well and it was a great opportunity for networking.”
Vision sponsored the photos on the night and handed out their luxury Liddell product goody bags to all attendee’s.
Victoria added: “It was great to see how popular our Liddell goody bags were. Many of the housekeepers who attended use our products so it was great to give them something to take home.”
The summer ball held in the Yorkshire and north east region aims to raise funds for the area so they may fund scholarships which include membership of the UKHA, membership of the Institute of Hospitality where UKHA members can study courses to aid their development in the hospitality industry. It allows the Association to have funds to mentor and develop young Housekeepers to advance further up the ladder to the role of Executive Housekeepers .It may also assist Housekeeping members to attend national events such as Shared Knowledge Day and the Business Lunch to assist with their development.
UKHA Chair for Yorkshire, Kerry Adams, said: “The sponsorship and support for this event was amazing due to associate members and the general managers through Yorkshire and the UK.”
The summer ball is held in each of the regions outside London on annual basis so each region hosts the event once every four years. This year’s event was bigger and better than the one held in Yorkshire before, with more tickets being sold than previous years.
