About Angela. I worked my way through Housekeeping in various Hotels in the 1970s. I then went into lecturing initially Housekeeping and Accommodation Operations at levels 2 and 3, then up to Foundation Degree levels.
Always managing to go back into Housekeeping in the summer vacation, working with a range of Housekeepers in various establishments, including many times at Gleneagles Hotel. I was then able to bring any updates in the sector into my lessons, making them more informative. I am now retired. I have been a member of the UKHA since 1985.
A National Officer from 1991-2015 and have always found the Association to be essential to Housekeepers at all levels. Previously I have worked with the Institute of Hospitality on behalf of the UKHA to develop qualifications in Housekeeping; I would like to see this progress further.

About Bev. I started my career as a room attendant in 1985, working for the Trusthouse Forte group.
Over the years I have enjoyed working in all departments of a hotel, gaining experience and knowledge. Housekeeping has always been my passion, I enjoy the satisfaction of passing on my knowledge to my staff.
I joined the UKHA after meeting a committee member at an AA Inspector training course. Since joining I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting all members and developing relationships with our associate members. I took over the role as Secretary to gain more knowledge and encourage others to do the same.
The UKHA is an amazing association for Education and Networking. I believe that with the support of the committee I can help move the UKHA forward, by encouraging Housekeepers to join and interact with others.

About Delia: An energetic, confident, tenacious and determined management professional, with vast experience of working within the Cleaning Industry with specific expertise within the Hospitality & Healthcare sector, well known for leading successful teams with an established reputation in housekeeping and accommodation services Delia has been the driving force behind many education and training opportunities supporting learners across the country to develop skills and reach their goals.
Delia is commercially astute, possessing excellent leadership skills which are focused on delivering results. An effective communicator with both press and media making several television appearances and leading on high profile projects.
Delia runs her own training and Development Company and is currently shadowing a number of housekeepers in a bid to establish best practice in housekeeping values. In her role as the Director of Cresta publishing the internationally renowned industry book supplier, Delia intends to publish a book entitled “The Modern Housekeepers guide to best practice”.
