About Nan. Nan has been in the Hospitality Industry for over 40 years and has been a Housekeeper for the past 30 years. She has a real passion for the Housekeeping discipline and feels that working closely with other Housekeepers and suppliers gives Housekeeping a better “voice” within the industry which is much needed in the present climate.
Nan has a great track record for internal promotions and development, having had many staff start as Room Attendants and then move into Supervisory positions, Deputy Housekeepers, Head Housekeepers and Rooms Division Managers.
Nan was AA Housekeeper of Year 2016/17, which was a fantastic achievement, however not realised alone, these accolades only come with support from colleagues.
Why Treasurer? I have been Treasurer for the Manchester & North West since the branch’s re-launch 8 years ago. We have run two very successful Summer Balls, these events can be very challenging financially, however each of ours have made a profit and given a donation to our chosen charity.
