The Scottish Lowlands branch started very informally around 1989. Jenny Barker became Chairperson in 1990. Her successor was Sheila Perera, who, after serving a number of terms as Scottish Lowlands Chairperson, went on to become National Chairperson.

Sarah Homewood, our present Chairperson, has 15 years experience within the hotel industry and previously served as the region’s Treasurer.

Since the sad demise of the Scottish Highlands branch we are now known as the Scottish Region. We hold meetings monthly from September to June, visiting member’s hotels across the country. The meetings are an ideal opportunity for Housekeepers to network with not only other Housekeepers but also with National and Regional Suppliers.

We have also hosted the Summer Ball on several occasions giving everyone a chance to enjoy true Scottish hospitality.
