Elizabeth McDougall,
The Scottish Region started very informally around 1989 and by 1990 Jenny Barker was the Chairperson. Jenny was followed by Sheila Perera who after serving a number of terms as Scottish Chairperson went on to become the National Chairperson. The following served as Chairperson:
Lowlands Branch for many years branches in Edinburgh and Glasgow until about ten years ago when they came back together as one with the Highlands branch existing until two years ago.

A year ago a sub - committee was set up to organise meetings in the North East of Scotland as for many years Aberdeen has tried to have a Housekeeping and failed to get it off the ground. This time with the of the Scottish Secretary Arbuthnott, Booth, Lorraine Munro and Iris Rilleants have successfully had four additional meetings in the North East. They are reaching a healthy and the attendance levels are going from strength to strength. Now monthly meetings in one month Glasgow the following month. Again our numbers are increasing all the time. |
